Office Hours
Evaluations

Child/Adolescent
evaluations
consist of
three 45-minute meetings;
the first one typically with
the parent(s) to obtain a
history.  The next two
meetings usually are alone
with the child or
adolescent to gain a better
understanding of the needs
that may be beneficially
addressed through
psychotherapy or
medication.  The
evaluation also may
include speaking with
other health care providers
or school personnel.  At
the third visit Dr. Howell
will provide a diagnosis
and treatment
recommendations.

Adult evaluations usually
take 2 hours.

After the evaluation is
completed, I will provide
specific treatment
recommendations for your
consideration.  These may
include psychotherapy,
medication, or a
combination of the two.
